Domain Name Transfer at Network Solutions
Log in to your account at networksolutions.com and put the mouse cursor over the green menu bar at the top where it says ‘Domain Names‘. From the drop-down menu, click on ‘Transfer Your Domain Name’.
There are a couple of things you will need before you can transfer your domain:
-Authorization Code: You need an authorization code in order for a domain to be transferred, your current domain registrar should be able to make this available to you.
-Access To Administrative Email: Please make sure that the administrative contact email listed for your domain in the WHOIS directory is correct, this way email can be used to verify that it is indeed your domain. Network Solutions will send an email to this address with a link required to transfer the domain.
-Make Sure Your Domain is Unlocked: Many domain name registrars will lock their customers’ domains to ensure protection against fraudulent transfer. Before you begin your transfer to Network Solutions, contact your current domain name registrar and make sure that your domain name is unlocked.
Once you have taken care of these simple details, you will be able to smoothly transfer your domain by following the onscreen directions at networksolutions.com. If you want to make any changes to your DNS, make sure to do so before the transfer. You cannot make changes to the DNS during the domain name transfer, which may take 5-7 days to complete.
