Bob started the domain registrar godaddy, it is probably the best known registrar around. They offer hosting as well as domains, and a lot more. Basically they offer everything you could want or need.

Bob has his 16 rules, here are my favorite three:

1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone.
I believe that not much happens of any significance when we’re in our comfort zone. I hear people say, “But I’m concerned about security.” My response to that is simple: “Security is for cadavers.”

2. Never give up.
Almost nothing works the first time it’s attempted. Just because what you’re doing does not seem to be working, doesn’t mean it won’t work. It just means that it might not work the way you’re doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn’t have an opportunity.

3. When you’re ready to quit, you’re closer than you think.
There’s an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: “The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.”

Those three are quoted from Bob’s 16 Rules, see them all. Not only do they provide domain registration services but they also provide hosting. The hosting services vary depending on what you may need. Most importantly you can upgrade whenever you need to. There starting with a basic godaddy hosting account and service and then upgrading later is fine. For ease of use there are also one click installation features so you can add any type of feature you can imagine with the click of the mouse. There is an entire repository with items such as bulletin boards, blogs, banner services and more.

They are probably the top registrar and hosting company in the world. Read about Bob and his story, he’s an amazing marketer and advertiser. Take a look at his services and you will be impressed.

Door to Door Sales http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/09/05/door-to-door-sales/ http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/09/05/door-to-door-sales/#comments Sat, 05 Sep 2009 21:39:08 +0000 Domain Man http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/09/05/door-to-door-sales/ Continue reading →]]> The other day a group of people came to my door selling magazines I let them know that I don’t buy magazines anymore. What was surprising was that a month before some people are trying to sell me magazines door-to-door. In about a month before that the same thing. That’s how they want to things I I’m not sure what the outcome is. Either magazines are selling very well some people running door-to-door or they don’t sell very well at all anymore because people are online. Nowadays you simply use a GoDaddy hosting promo code and create a website in a matter of minutes. For less than a subscription of a magazine you can have the Web hosting space for an entire year plus is click a button set up a webspace. So if you really love a particular topic instead of subscribing to it I suggest you learn more about it by actually utilizing it. In other words the best way to learn about a topic is not just read about it but can also turn around and try to write about it. Pretend as if you’re trying to teach someone else about that particular topic that is usually the best way for someone to learn is to not only read about it but then try to tell someone else about it that makes it much more likely few remember that particular topic.

What to Look For http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/08/15/what-to-look-for/ http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/08/15/what-to-look-for/#comments Sat, 15 Aug 2009 13:28:08 +0000 Domain Man http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/08/15/what-to-look-for/ Continue reading →]]> Would you look for when you’re trying to do host. In the past, years ago, a website hosts was just that they were merely a website hosts and nothing more. But times have changed substantially. These days if you use someone like Go Daddy hosting you will obtain great service because their public company, there also domain registrar and there are benefits I will get into, and they have many other services.

So let’s talk about this for a second. Since they are the registrar and the hosting company use them for both services chances are there’s an issue they will fix it quickly because they cannot point fingers. In the past a hosting company would point the finger at the registrar and the registrar when the finger the hosting company in your site become per week. But these days is not the case. So you should use a GoDaddy hosting promo code to obtain the best possible price on hosting and receive the benefits of everything also they provide. For example they provide many things such as one click application installation so you can create a site and build out however you want very easily and very quickly. As a great service that they provide them because they are such a large host they provide it at an amazing price.

Hosting Also http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/08/08/hosting-also/ http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/08/08/hosting-also/#comments Sat, 08 Aug 2009 15:50:09 +0000 Domain Man http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/08/08/hosting-also/ Continue reading →]]> We always talk domains now let’s talk hosting. I don’t know why but I never thought of this particular registrar, Go Daddy, as a good Web hosting company. Actually I don’t mean I didn’t think of them as a good Web hosting company what I mean is I think of them as a Web hosting company at all. Back in the day, about 10 years ago, there were domain registrar companies and they were hosting companies in the two would never meet.

Will now Go Daddy is number one for not only domains but also for their GoDaddy hosting and they have the ultimate in hosting. What I mean is you typically go to a economy hosting company to obtain hosting really reasonable. But then they can scale with you. But this particular hosting company now he has economy but they also have virtual servers when you grow or you can skip to a dedicated server.

They also have grid hosting. So as you can imagine it can accommodate any type of architecture you would ever want to throw at them. So they can grow with you. When you’re spending three dollars a month or 300 a month whether you have 1 million users a month or 10 million users a month they will be able to accommodate you.

Gift for a child http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/07/31/gift-for-a-child/ http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/07/31/gift-for-a-child/#comments Fri, 31 Jul 2009 19:36:08 +0000 Domain Man http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/07/31/gift-for-a-child/ Continue reading →]]> We always talk about domains but not what to do with that. Recently a friend of mine had a great idea. He didn’t realize how good it was until I explained the value of a domain name. So let me tell you what he did, he used a godaddy promo code to get the best deal on domain name. While that was smart that is not the best part. He got the domain name as the first and last name of his newly born son. The reason he did this was to take pictures of his child and chronicle his birth as well as some of his upcoming years. I think is a great idea and much better than a photo album.

Now here is why I think is an amazing idea. We all know the value of a domain name once it has been registered and online gaining links in. It has instant value. The value that has is that it takes a while for a website to become listed in a search engine. But the longer the site is that around and the longer it’s been in the search engine and the more links going in and out more value as. So not only is a great idea to chronicle his child’s upbringing and growth but now he can give the domain to his son years later. The beauty is that now his son will have an account, his own domain is on site has been around for a long time obtaining value. I think this is a great idea and a great way to give his son something that no one else would’ve thought of in the future.

Let the social web find the best registrars http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/07/20/let-the-social-web-find-the-best-registrars/ http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/07/20/let-the-social-web-find-the-best-registrars/#comments Tue, 21 Jul 2009 05:06:06 +0000 Domain Man http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/07/20/let-the-social-web-find-the-best-registrars/ Continue reading →]]> To be happen to mention that the best place to find deals on hosting or domain registrars is typically by asking others. In other words this is perfect for the social web 2.0 community, allowing others to communicate the best deals. For instance we found this GoDaddy promo code that allows you to obtain a discount. Click the link and you’ll be taken to one of what we believe to be the best coupon sites available. Because it is not a coupon site at all.

Is actually, more than anything, a forum. So individuals can find the best deals and post about the best deals you can find what is going to allow you to obtain the best price. Not only can someone post the best deal but chances are they’ve taken advantage of it themselves and the deal is in fact good. Also others can comment on the deals let you know if they are still available worth maybe there is even a better deal.

There’ve been cases I have seen were people have found multiple online discounts or coupons, better known as promo codes, and gotten incredible deals by stacking the codes. In some cases I actually saw free computers. That was right before Christmas. But you never know what available in the best place to find it is not by looking at a company that has a staff but instead looking at a company that uses the thousands of people online.

You can start with a basic plan, for less than $60 if you sign up for one year.

While there are hosting companies that are cheap, there are rarely hosting companies that offer very reasonable hosting and also scalable solutions. You can start with a basic hosting plan and upgrade as necessary.

It is always best to choose the same registrar and hosting company so they are under one roof. This way neither will point fingers at the other. If there is a problem, they will be sure to get it fixed because they are the ony ones that could possibly be the root of any problem.

Pick the best hosting company, the largest and the easiest to use so you can have a great experience with simple hosting. The easier to use, the easier your life will be.

Domain Hosting and Social Media http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/05/22/domain-hosting-and-social-media/ http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/05/22/domain-hosting-and-social-media/#comments Sat, 23 May 2009 03:27:14 +0000 Domain Man http://www.domaintalkblog.com/?p=29 Continue reading →]]> Domains are now becoming even more important as creating a blog with a unique name and domain needs to be done first. Generating links to a blog only to later change the name is a waste of time.

Also what is necessary is not only to obtain a decent registrar, domain and hosting from someone like godaddy hosting, but to also use the same brand name for a twitter account, facebook page and more.

Sites like Social Brand Search can do the searching for you. Let it check for available domains, twitter account names, facebook pages and more.

What is ICANN? http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/04/08/what-is-icann/ http://www.domaintalkblog.com/2009/04/08/what-is-icann/#comments Wed, 08 Apr 2009 14:12:53 +0000 Domain Man http://domaintalkblog.com/?p=23 Continue reading →]]> ICANN is an international private-public partnership founded in 1998. ICANN is a non-profit. They manage the internet’s Domain Name System (DNS), including both generic (gTLD) and country code (ccTLD) Top-Level Domain names and the numeric address infrastructure. There are seven original gTLDs (.com, .edu, .gov, .int, .mil, .net, .org) and in 2001 and 2002 more were added including four unsponsored (.biz, .info, .name, .pro) and three sponsored (.aero, .coop, .museum).

Sponsored sTLDs are limited to narrow communities for which the sponsor sets the rules generally. Since then several more were added (.asia, .cat, .jobs, .mobi, .travel). Each TLD has its own registry maintained by the registry operator.

As a user you will buy your domain name from a registrar who then send the information to the registry.

RSS(Really Simple Syndication) is a form of automated news feed delivery over the Internet. Since it has been introduced, the availability of news and information in a quick, easy format has risen dramatically.

Torex hopes to sell the domain name for such a high price because they feel that with about 4,350,000,000 pages on Google any business could use the name to attract customers and boost their search engine rankings.

The auction for the domain name will be held on www.greatdomains.com. If you think that you might be interested you should contact Sedo or visit their website and search for rss.com
